LTE (4G) Failover setup on DrayTek router

DrayTek configuration


Setup LTE airplane mode via console


Login to DrayTek web gui and open console as per below image

Run below command on console.
wan lte set airplane on

Note – This command is not supported via telnet or ssh so you must run the command via console.

Enable LTE with failover


Go to WAN - General Setup – click on LTE

Setup LTE failover as below configuration

Go to WAN – Internet Access – LTE
Select LTE access mode then click on detail page for further configuration.

Setup LTE configuration as per below image

Setup failover policy


Go to Routing – Load Balance/Route Policy and click on 1st policy.

Setup 1st default policy as below image

Troubleshooting and verification


Scenario 1 – Primary WAN link is active and 4G in Standby


You can verify your active link from DrayTek dashboard as describe.
